The Build a Better Second Wind program (BBSW) was implemented several years ago as a way for the club to thank members for all the hard work that keeps the club afloat. The program is designed to recognize and reward volunteer participation in club activities. Such participation is the life blood of the club. To be considered for an award, members must volunteer at a club sponsored race or write an article for the newsletter, and obtain a minimum number of points based on the table below. Prizes will selected by the board and may differ each year. Members will be recognized and given the award at the club's annual Holiday Banquet in January. How do you participate? First, volunteer at a club sponsored race or write an article for the newsletter. Second participate in other club events such as fun runs, speed workouts, women's running group, marathon training runs, volunteer at races, sponsor a new member, write a newsletter article, or attend a board meeting. No need to keep track of your points during the year. All points will be recorded by board members or coordinators.
