Tuesday Fun Runs

We are currently running on our winter fun run route! We start at Carle on Windsor and First at 6:00 pm. The route is north on First St, right or east on Peabody Ave, right or south on Fourth St, right or west on Windsor Road, back to the parking lot. Park in Carle's Sport Clinic parking lot using spaces nearest to the entrance road.

(For our summer route we start at the Meadowbrook Park shelter at Windsor Road and Vine at 6:00 pm. The route is the perimeter of Meadowbrook Park.)

Wednesday Speedwork

We are currently running our winter speedwork workouts.

We typically meet at the Champaign Central Track (McKinley Field) at 915 S. New Street at 6pm weather permitting.  We bring our own lighting to illuminate the track so you don't need to bring your own.  If the weather is bad or for a change of pace we will run the Memorial Stadium ramps or a multi-level campus parking garage.  If weather is severe or the track is snow covered, we will resort to using the UofI Armory indoor track which forces us to start an hour later at 7pm.  Watch for weekly annoucements to know where we will be running.

In the summer we normally alternate between meeting at the parking lot at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and St. Mary's Road or running on a local track. Always check our FaceBook page first in case we make a change due to weather.

The workout is run by one of our volunteers.

Thursday Run from Riggs

Year around we run from the Riggs Beer Company at 1901 S High Cross Road in Urbana on Thursdays.  We meet at 6pm and run a roughly 4 mile route through the Stone Creek neighborhood and back to Riggs.  Stay for beer and the food trucks.  In the winter be sure to bring reflective gear and lighting as some of the route is not well lit.

Saturday Training Runs

Starting in January we run a training program for the spring running of the Illinois Race Weekend. Details and sign up for this training program can be found here.

Over the summer there are regular runs scheduled into the fall for those training for marathons or half marathons throughout the year. The schedule for 2025 is TBA.
